‘I had a call from Ron today – he was about to go to sleep in his tent in a fairly organized campsite in Penong. He had pitched his tent under a covered area – he was looking forward to a ‘dry’ night as he had water dripping on his head most of the previous night! The joys of camping-out!

The good news is that his repaired wheel seemed to be surviving and doing well! Long may it last!

He plans to cycle to Ceduna tomorrow ( where he had the wheel repaired) – and if he is feeling strong he will carry on the Smoky Bay and sleep there – this appears to be right on the coast. Then he anticipates his next stop to be Streaky Bay. The little towns are now much closer than before so his journey should be less stressful and not so isolated. So lets hope he has coms soon! He sounds cheerful and upbeat and sends love to all.
