Ron phoned late morning – round 11.30 – he was on his way to have a hamburger and chips – awesome, he says – at the roadhouse in yet another almost non-existent place called Madura. He has booked a bed for the night to rest his sore body – cost approx R1,000.00!!! He sounds tired but focused. He has not had coms for days but hopes to have some when he reaches the border in a day or two.

Hopefully he will have coms for his birthday – which is on Sat 17th May – the ballie is turning 66!

The past few days have been very isolated and lonely – not a person in sight – the odd dead kangaroo with birds of prey! But some amazing sunsets and sunrises and a spectacular full moon last night. He has not had coms to post the photos but will do so when possible. So keep the blog going – that keeps Ron going and motivated and don’t forget to support hospice!
