Cycling at 60 years old across SA was my first adventure. I travelled from Durban to Cape Town, and covered a distance of 3000km. It took me 30 days.

My trip was in aid of the SPCA where I met numerous branches along on route.

The challenge was riding over some of the mountain passes, made particularly tough having to sleep in a tent next to the road.

I chose to ride along the Garden Route to Cape Town and returned via the Karoo.
