Ron is spending tonight in Streaky Bay – also in a campsite right on the beach. Another very pretty place. He says he has pelicans right outside his tent – very beautiful.
He sounds tired -and has just passed the 2000ks mark – no mean feat! Well done Ron – we are proud of you!
He is looking forward to the home stretch but constantly reminds us to keep the interest in and support for hospice going!

He met another ‘serious’ cyclist – Japanese guy – cycling from Adelaide to Perth – a nice guy but Ron battled to understand the broken English, accent and not to mention the fact that Ron is slightly hard of hearing!

Ron plans to get up very early and push himself further tomorrow – he is itching to get to a proper town where he will have coms! Lack of communication – sending and receiving – has had a rather negative impact on Ron’s journey – as we can all imagine. So keep the blog going – he will be encouraged when he gets to see all the wonderful messages .
